Future of water timeline

What is this?

We spent two months researching weak signals across social, environmental, economic, technological and political areas connected to the future of this space. Events and ideas were then organised into five streams that flow from the present into probable and possible futures. The visualisation aims to create a one-page graphical view of the future of water (in the UK, which sometimes suffers from too much rather than too little water) and its potential trajectories of flow. We hope people can use this timeline to drive fresh thinking on the future of water and to impact the way we might engage, interact and consume this vital resource in the years to come.
